Why do truckers insist to drive slow in the ping (left) lane?

you must realize how long it takes to stop/accelerate in something that large and heavy, it also takes a little longer when you have somewhere upwards of 12 gears to go through, you must also understand that they must double clutch every gear. It also takes alot more space to p in a big truck. It dosent help that as soon as they move there is always some pushy motorist that is right up their a$$ who is in a big hurrry to go nowhere, take a ride in a big truck once, you will give them much more respect on the road when you see what it takes to handle something that size in traffic at those speeds.
