How does a Canadian-born apply for dual citizenship with Ecuador?

I was born here and my mother born here. I'm 21. My dad is a Canadian citizen but he was born in Ecuador. The last few years I've wanted to become a citizen of Ecuador, of course still keeping my Canadian citizenship. The main reason is basically because I want to feel like this this isn't my only home, but also because if I ever travel to the 'Dor I'd like to be "one of them", lol hard to explain.. What steps need to be taken for me to do this? Any help would be great, thanks!
