Not in a position to talk to my mother...?

I'm British and my girlfriend is Indian, she was brainwashed by her parents to avoid white guys because apparently we're unpredictable and leave them which is really sad. I love her and want to marry her but some of her family relatives don't accept our love or the fact that she's living with me without having gotten married.
