My cat died, what can I do for my mom?

5 minutes ago we got a call that my cat had been found finally... dead in the middle of the road. At least they took her and buried her, I can be happy for that. She was my first and only childhood pet that we had for 8 years. I'm taking it terribly, but my mom's worse. She's been sobbing non-stop and she never cries, and she just left to take down all the 'Lost Kitty' fliers. That must be horrible... I'm glad I don't have to do that. I feel miserable and I know my mom is miserable too. I want to help her, anything I can do?
