Why do stores discriminate against miners?

i see stores all over town with signs that say stuff like no more than 2 miners allowed at a time why do they do this i mean its not like it makes a differnce what someone does for work is it becaus they think they are dirty mining is really hard and dangerous miners shold to be able to go where they want
